Poormonger This is my current front runner for album of the year. Pre-ordered it originally on the strength of ‘Thick As Glue’ and now I bought it again as a cassette so I can more easily play it for the whole house. Love the surfy fuzzy riffs and kick ass attitude. Going to get me some merch too just as soon as they get more L size t-shirts in stock. Favorite track: Thick as Glue.

monobri73 I love "Ephemeral" because it is a breath of fresh musical air by a band in an industry where it gets increasingly harder for bands to survive. The songs are constructed with genius playfulness and infectious hooks that have me playing this release over and over.Thank you Groupie

Half Wave 03:39
Uh Feelin’ exhausted again Wasn’t ready for this again Desire for normalcy The need to forget We’re all trapped in passive inertia We’re all chasing happiness It’s all so fleeting Give up on perfection! Give up on perfection! (x2) Some say the one you love Is who you disappoint most and It’s easier done than said There’s no selfish form of love Ha! But sometimes dead is better Beginnings and endings in Irving Square Park I’m so sick of all this ludicrous shit I’m done with it! Give up on perfection Can’t find perfection anywhere Give up on perfection Dare you to find perfection I’d like to think I don’t need nobody And I’d like to think I could have some standards But here we go, riding this wave again (repeat a million times until the track destroys itself) Ride this wave, again, again

Waiting 04:16
My hands are older, Older than the rest of me Oscillate between Instability and normalcy Winter’s in my hands Stagnant, no hope or warmth Hands will linger on Skin from a naked neck Can you feel it, can you feel it, won’t you Can you feel it, the hunger running through your veins Can you feel it, can you feel it, won’t you Won’t stop it, this need for something more The city’s not mine New York’s a tease for freedom This quiet confidence Is arrested by your stare Solemn solitude Creativity and loneliness My hands want it all And they’re sick of waiting Can you feel it, can you feel it, won’t you Can you feel it, the hunger running through your veins Can you feel it, can you feel it, won’t you Won’t stop it, this need for something more And I know It’s a let down, it’s a let down And I know, it’s a let down when I come around And I know, it’s a let down, it’s a let down And I know, it’s a let down, when I come around

Industry 04:19
Warm Coca-cola in Dixie Cups But my body’s cold and numb Step in the shower and see If my skin’s still foreign to me The air is humid and I'm screaming for attention Walk down 28th to feel right again Flower District biding my time again Pander to me Tell me just who I am Immortalize me in Mod Podge Immortalize me in sin My tombstone reads so clearly “Here Lies The Next Big Thing” Buyin’ up all my time, and I.. The industry knows me Still feelin’ empty Buy me, buy me up Buyin’ up all my time, and I.. The industry knows me Still feelin’ empty Buy me, buy me up! Feel like those mystery liquids You find on New York City streets Unnamed and walked all over Steady stilettos walk all over me Pander to me Tell me just who I am Pander to me Tell me just who I am Millennial pink, gluten-free It’s not a lack of interest It’s a lack of obsession The temptation makes you look ugly Buyin’ up all my time, and I.. The industry knows me Still feelin’ empty Buy me, buy me up! (x4)

Daleko 05:20
Let’s catch up soon It’s been too long Far away, Daleko Let’s catch up soon Let’s get a drink Far away, Daleko Let’s catch up soon It’s been too long Far away, Daleko Odległość, czas, tęsknota, zapomnienie Taki jest człowiek, że musi iść do przodu Złamane serce, a za chwile zapomnienie Dlaczego odległość nas zawsze musi dzielić? Codzienny czas, codzienna rutyna I o tobie już tak często nie myśle I ty o mnie Tak często nie myślisz I ty o mnie Tak często nie myślisz Let’s catch up soon It’s been too long Far away, Daleko Let’s catch up soon Let’s get a drink Far away, Daleko Let’s catch up soon It’s been too long Far away, Daleko Daleko How can I know you How can I miss you How can I love you When you’re so far away Jesteśmy tak daleko Jesteśmy tak daleko We’re so far away We’re so far away Jesteśmy tak daleko Jesteśmy tak daleko

Poor You 03:01
Can’t go to Harvard Kicked out of your band Now you think god’s eating out of your hand All you are is what you hate and You know so much about me Teach me something, wise old boy Give me answers Tell me lies Speak the loudest so no one doubts you You’re more dangerous than you know If you’re so smart think you’d get away You’re just unlucky You’re just unlucky No consequences No boundaries Make an example out of you! Poor you! Riding the pretense of the life you led What’s the score? That’s the price you kept Raise your voice to gain some trust But you’re part of the problem Low-brow artist Oh so modern Ramble on, Find your audience How can you act like you know it all When you know nothing about me If you’re so smart think you’d get away You’re just unlucky You’re just unlucky No consequences No boundaries They’ll make an example out of you! Poor you! I wanna know so much about you You don’t know You think you know so much about me You wanna know so much about me Nothing ‘bout I wanna know nothing about you You don’t know So much about you! Nothing about me! Teach me something, wise old boy Give me answers and tell me lies Speak the loudest so no one doubts you You’re more dangerous than you know

Lonely Dog 03:36
Chargin forward when you know the stop is soon And you know it will hurt you Stopping if you have to, barely Using his body to remember another What happens in the interim space Between his heart and his mouth I want you to be more than a lonely dog, yeah Validate me loudly, support me kindly I want you to be more than a lonely dog Validate me loudly, support me kindly There’s a secret in the fury Winds try hard to find their voice A pair of lonely headlights, pleading Everything the light touches finds a glow but my flesh it stays the same it stays the same it stays the same My heart sleeps at the foot of my bed Panting, like a lonely dog Fumbling and repeating It crawls back through the night Let me wander Let me be here Why won’t you be more than a lonely dog? I want you to be more than a lonely dog, yeah Validate me loudly, support me kindly I want you to be more than a lonely dog Validate me loudly, support me kindly Want you to be want you to be want you to be more than a lonely want you to be more than a lonely want you to be more than a lonely dog

Human Again 02:08
Like a dog I consume the world through my mouth Anticipate nostalgia, don’t give a fuck Dozing off, hinting the change Stall and squirm cuz I, cuz I don’t wanna be awake Don’t wanna be awake Now a phantom seatbelt wrapped around my waist My to-do list lives to see another day Killing time at Anyway Cafe I'm back and I, I don’t wanna be awake Don’t wanna be awake Separate emotion and energy Lash out at these feelings of home Give in to entropy A restless air, tempting sound Stressed in a reverie I think about it now and then And try to feel human again Cuz I don’t wanna be! Don’t wanna be awake
9.
Critic's Eye 03:42
You say it’s me No ordinary responsibility Another downfall A martyr from the get go So many questions The papers and press Obsessed with death Romanticize, bastardize The chance you never had To follow the critic’s eye (x2) outrageous, pharmacy pros we lived the life of raw rock’n’roll dateline NBC What is it that you want to accuse me? of conspiracy... said I was twisted and cruel But isn’t that just what you Would expect a jealous lover to do The chance you never had To follow the critic’s eye (x2) One wild night, unraveled girl fighting inner demons a personal war… keep on digging keep on digging keep on letting us watch from afar

No Hands 04:37
I set out to invade my dreams My hands in front of my eyes If I get lost I have this compass Connects the earth and sky But it doesn’t give weight To this passing train And all the stops along the way Halt my comprehension of pain Grinding halt Screeching stop I can take my time for a little Got time to kill Quick steps backward, Clocks ticking, bringing forth the heartbeat Of this time, this life that Never slows down but never really seems to start up Broken, severed elements of past identities Jokes that fell flat Guiding me home Past a faceless clock with no hands Grinding halt Screeching stop I can take my time for a little Got time to kill Following no hands No hands of time
